DC Energy Innovations is a full-service electrical contracting firm based in North Hero in the beautiful Champlain Islands of Vermont. We are staffed almost entirely by licensed electricians and apprentices working under the supervision of those with a license. DC Energy Innovations was started by Dwayne Cormier, the company owner, ten years ago, in 2002. Dwayne has been a master electrician for 16 years and is fully experienced in all phases of electrical work.
The specialty of DC Energy is complex electrical work involving controls. In the past 7 - 8 years, DC Energy has diversified into security alarm work and renewable energy. Both give us the opportunity to get involved in more complex forms of electrical work.

WE ARE NOW NABCEP CERTIFIED!!
This past November, Ben Gordesky, our renewable energy manager, passed the PV NABCEP exam to be a fully certified PV installer. "The most thorough exam I ever took", said Ben.
NABCEP or the North American Board of Certified Energy Practicioners is the only body which certifies solar PV installers. The exam covers all topics relating to the design, troubleshooting, code compliance and work place safety for the proper installation of solar PV systems.
Last winter we completed the installation of a Norther Power Systems 100KW community scale wind turbine at Northland Job Corps in Vergennes, VT. This system is owned by Green Mountain Power for the utility to generate some of its own renewable electricity. Some of the power generated helps offset the energy costs for the host facility.
We did 5 great projects last winter for Housing Vermont!! These included 5 different mixed income housing locations owned by the Champlain Housing Trust. Locations in downtown Burlington, the Old North End of Burlington and Saint Albans.
